LHMC has an in-house laboratory staffed by a team of highly trained lab technicians who can provide testing at any time of day and night. An important part of the lab is the Blood Bank, which plays a vital role in surgeries and in the survival chances of critically ill patients.
The laboratory has the availability of quick rapid tests for various diseases, like Malaria, Hepatitis B & C, HIV, Thyphoid, Helicobacter pylori, and many more. The laboratory is also equipped with a blood count machine (haematology analyzer), which provides accurate results for the Hb level and counts the red blood cells, the leukocytes, and thrombocytes.
Our experienced lab technicians can provide microscopic examination of sputum, stool, urine & blood to test for additional disease like: TB, intestinal parasites, schistosomiasis, malaria and filariasis. Furthermore, we have the availability of a biochemistry analyzer that can test liver & kidney functions.
